Welcome

Welcome to Wiikirri Bed and Breadfast Retreat

Wiikirri is an aboriginal word from the Ngiyampaa people. The word means to sit or to sit down. Sitting still and quietly, happens rarely these days and sitting specifically to reflect or rest has almost become a lost ability. The word also means to live or to be, another ability that has become lost living in the fast pace of this modern world. Finally, it means to stay, which quite simply is what we invite you to do.

Your stay may be used as an opportunity to explore the local and wider region, whether your interests are with art, wine or food or something more energetic like bush walking or mountain biking. You may wish to come to Wiikirri to stay and relax where you can sit in our bit of Australian bush, listen to native birdsong, breathe the fresh mountain air, dine under a star studded night sky or sink into the hammock by the creek. A stay may also be about taking the time to rejuvenate your body. As your resident wholistic Dietitan-Nutritionist I can design tailor-made rejuvenation programmes and together with other practitioners can truly enable you to retreat yourself.

Whatever your reason is to stay we believe the serenity of Wiikirri will wash over you in no time at all. So we invite you to come, stay and experience Wiikirri.

We look forward to welcoming you.
