The Cottage
Built in early 2011, The Cottage is a free-standing cottage that can sleep up to 3 people. Nevertheless, it is ideal for couples. The cottage has an open plan layout although bi-fold timber shutters can separate the bedroom from the lounge-dining-kitchenette. The bedroom has a king-size bed with a spacious luxury ensuite bathroom. In the lounge area there is a king-single divan bed. As it has a kitchenette it does better suit those who would like to self-cater for evening meals. A lovely deck with daybed overlooking the creek and across to the billabong completes the secluded luxury.
Rates start from $350 per night for 2 guests. Maximum 3 Guests – extra Guest + $150 per night. Minimum 2 night stay is required on weekends.
The Guest Quarters
The two bedroom two bathroom Guest Quarters annex the main house built in 2006, and enjoys its own private entrance. The first bedroom has a queen-size bed with ensuite bathroom. This bathroom also has a lovely bath for you to enjoy a candle-lit soak. The other bedroom has a king bed which can be split into 2 single beds.
Also in the Guest Quarters is a snug/library with a great selection of books and magazines. The divan seating filled with plump cushions can be made up as another single bed if required.
Each room flows out to a covered deck with BBQ and seating. Each room is set up motel style and so has tea and coffee making facilities along with a bar fridge, toaster and egg cooker. Down a few steps and the wisteria-covered pergola over a large daybed provides an ideal spot for relaxation.
Rates start from $350 per room per night (maximum 2 Guests per room) Extra Guests in the Library (maximum 2 Guests) + $150 per guest per night. Minimum 2 night stay is required on weekends.
Glamping Tents
Wiikirri has two spacious Bell Tents perfect for a couple but more than adequate for 3 or 4 people. The tents are styled and set up for luxury camping. No camp stretchers here, but comfortable Queen, King or extra-long Single beds. The tents are set-up down by the creek and down from Billabong Barn. Breakfast is served in the Barn for guests staying in the tents. Billabong Barn is equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, a BBQ and fridge and all crockery and glassware. It is also perfect for lounging. A full bathroom adjoins The Cottage for exclusive use of our glamping guests.
Rates start from $150 per guest per night. NB; the tents are only erected and used as overflow accommodation when required for a group booking.
Group Bookings
Wiikirri can accommodate groups comfortably. As most groups are some combination of singles and couples, rates will be quoted as per person per night. Once again as a group you may wish to include other meals, specifically lunch and dinner as part of your package. We can quote with standard bed and breakfast or dinner, bed and breakfast or bed and breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Children
Although Wiikirri is not an adults only retreat, for safety reasons we cannot accept children 7 years old and under.
Cancellation
A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. This deposit is not refundable if the booking is cancelled within 7 days prior to the check-in date.
DINNER OPTIONS
Breakfast
Breakfast is included in the tariff. Generally, a generous hamper is provided for breakfast. This is so breakfast can be enjoyed at your leisure. The hamper includes gourmet muesli or organic porridge, fresh fruit salad, fresh fruit juice, bread, yoghurt, eggs (from Wiikirri’s resident chooks), bacon (locally smoked and cured) and other snacks such as gourmet biscuits, macadamia nuts and locally roasted-in-their-shell peanuts. Naturally all dietary requirements can be accommodated.
For large groups and those glamping, breakfast will be served in Billabong Barn.
Dinner
A number of dining options exist in town. As Wiikirri is only 400 metres from town, it is a very easy walk. The options in town are both dine-in and takeaway. Nevertheless, once settled in at Wiikirri most guests do not want to go out again so there are a couple of options available. If you choose dine-in at Wiikirri this option needs to be arranged at the time of booking.
DIY BBQ pack
Included in this pack is T-bone steak and gourmet sausages, a salad and jacket potatoes. A BBQ is located at each accommodation and in Billabong Barn. ($60 for two people)
Tapas-Cheese Platter
A board with a selection of cold meats, salmon, cheese, olives, relishes, crackers and fruit and a glass of red or white wine or champagne. ($80 for two people)
Dinner for two
A 2 course dinner prepared by your host, Julie, and served to you wherever you choose – under the stars, on your deck or in The Barn. Julie sets seasonal menus of main course and dessert, and a glass of wine or champagne is include with your meal. The menu will be discussed with you at the time of booking. ($150 for two people)
